Disable NX/XD to install Windows 11 that requires NX/XD?

Years ago I used to enjoy installing different Linux Distros on difficult to install on hardware

Because, for the most part installing Linux has become pedestrian, I find that I now get the same sense of achievement from installing Windows 11 on older unsupported hardware

The motherboard for this lil’ PackardBell was particularly obtuse.

Hint, even with the usual install mitigations used by Rufus installer Windows 11 needs NX ….so disable it on the motherboard to install windows 11!?

Ok I have mostly gutted the case and cleaned it up.

I actually really like the case and my repurposed it for myself.

I am nor sure if I will rebuild it at this time, I may rehouse the parts in another case.

Mmm just tested the power supply.

It was not good, the 12v rail gets 10.5v so not using that

The motherboard in this thing is an AsRock ‘P4I65G Prescott 800 Rev G/A 1.01’

The damage to the CPU fan is from my finger, my finger did not fair as well.

Ok there is a DVB-T TV card that has very little identifying features, dunno what this thing is…. beyond the obvious of course.

Ok, I managed to get to a Thursday Carboot sale as I am off until Monday.

Today’s find cost me £5

It is a multimedia machine branded “Carrera” its in a large desktop format Aluminium case by Coolermaster .

It was very dirty and while I was cleaning it with my air duster I managed to injure my finger and shatter a couple of fins of the CPU fan.. so that will need to be replaced.

The CPU appears to be a Pentium 4

Pre clean pictures attached, I will take more pictures as I clean it.
